A LICENSED LABOR MEDICINE BUREAU

The Labor Medicine Bureau is an independent section in the structure of Avicenna Health Centre Sole Trade Ltd. It is registered in the Ministry of Health under № 253/13.06.2001 г. on the strength of article 16 of regulation № 14 of the Ministry of Health from 07.08.1998. Re-registration № 253-1/17.12.2004.

The Labor Medicine Bureau of Avicenna Health Centre Sole Trade Ltd offers and provides timely high-quality complex service – from assessment of the work environment and the work process, assessment of the risk at each working place, instruction in a committee or panel for the conditions of work and prophylactic examinations of the workers to general a nalyses of the health condition depending on the conditions of work as well as promotion of health at each working place. Since the beginning of 2006 a registered branch of the Labor Medicine Bureau has been operating in Sunny Beach Resort – Nessebar Municipality.

In conformity with legislation the Labor Medicine Bureau offers the following complex labor medicine services:

Assessment of the work rooms, the work processes and the materials used.
Assessment of the health risk and the safety of workers and employees.
Help and assistance in organizing and carrying out specialized measurements; microclimate; electromagnetic field, dust, noise, vibrations, natural and artificial light, toxicity factors, psychological examinations and assessment on the conditions of work at the working places.
Recommendations concerning the organization of the work and the work-load of the sick workers and employees.
Recommendations concerning the choice of effective safety measures for personal and collective protection.
Developing charts for assessment of the conditions of work.
Developing a physiological regimen of work and rest.

Analysis of the state of health of the workers and employees with regard to the kind of work that is carried out by them.

Determining the periodicity, organizing and carrying out regular medical examinations in conformity with Regulation 3.
Annual analysis of the state of health of the workers and employees on the basis of the prophylactic examinations carried out, the indications of temporary inability to work, the occupational diseases and labor traumatism data.
Drawing up files of the state of health of the workers and employees.
Drawing up a conclusion about the fitness of the workers for carrying out a particular kind of work and conclusions on employment discontinuance.
Instruction to the personnel aiming at providing health and safeness during work as well as instructing the first-aid and mutual aid principles.
